About Survival Trading
To best explain who we are and what our goal is we have addressed below some of the most common questions that you may ask;
What is an emergency?
An emergency is best described as a
situation whereby yourself or others are involved in a personal or
public, civic or world crisis, tragedy, urgent situation or in any
predicament where there is no easy or immediate means of respite from
the problem whatever it may be. This is what our products are all
about, "to help improve your chances of surviving an emergency situation".
What is Survival Trading all about? The
inception of Survival Trading arose as the result of years of
experience living in the bush combined with survival specific training
of the founders. Together this has provided aspiration to the founders
to start producing survival related products which are suited
specifically to the Australian climate and conditions. Major
considerations taken into account during the research and development
of our products are:
- User friendliness (catering to most ages and abilities)
- Adaptability of the contents (ensuring there are other uses for our various products, very important in a survival situation)
and last but not least
- Pricing and value (decide for yourself, we think you'll be pleased)
What Inspired Survival Trading?
Many years ago the founders of Survival Trading examined a very small
survival kit from overseas. This kit was found lacking in numerous
areas of design which led us to believe at that stage that it could be
greatly improved upon. Over the last couple of years we decided to do
some research into small survival kits that fit into a persons pocket
who might be going into the bush, hiking, walking or any other outdoor
activity and produce our own. What products do we produce and who are they intended for?
We produce an array of survival related products, their purpose is to
provide peace of mind to the user in the event of an emergency. We take
pride in producing products that can be used by anyone no matter your
age, not everyone is skilled in the use of survival equipment and can
easily operate it when you need it most "in an emergency", that's why we've taken this important aspect into account.
Our newest product that is becoming familiar on the survival market is

Outback Survival Kit survival kit is a small compact unit that can be
slipped into your pocket and should not leave there until you return
home or reach civilization.
The
idea being, if the survival kit was to be placed in a bag being carried
etc. along the track it may be misplaced or lost with the bag. So, we
developed a kit as you will notice that is small in size, can be placed
in your pants pocket and is encased in a steel container that can be
used over a fire to boil water for purification.
Why would I need to carry a survival kit?
The idea of our kit is to assist you in a survival situation by
supplying the basic essentials to help you over the critical hours that
you may be lost. Any person hiking walking or otherwise going into the
bush in any way should prepare themselves well.
There
are many organisations who help young people partake in these
activities such as Youth Groups, Boy Scouts, Girl Guides and so on and
we know that these groups give their members excellent preparation. We
believe that our kit does not in any way take away from that
preparation. It is what it is, an item of last resort.
Our
own theory is that when one is lost they are normally recovered in a
day or so and that food is not necessarily critical at that point.
